Having a caller ID issue with some DID trunks.
System: Communication Manager
MM714 board handling the 2 DID trunks and the two analog stations for this setup.

Situation: 2 DID trunks connected to Avaya - 100 DID block passing 4 digits. THIS PART WORKS I can see in a trace on the trunk the different 4 digit DID's coming in ok.

I have 2 analog stations setup for the handling of these calls. the way I set it up was I have a hunt group for each DID and have it setup as CIRC with the two stations in each hunt group. (basically connected to a small fax server)

the problem is the DID is not passing to the analog stations.

any ideas what would be causing this?

callerID is generally used on isdn NI2. Analog DID requires programming on the trunk-group form to enable the callerID feature and your provider will have to be paid to send callerID. Also, analog stations with callerID must be set type CallrID.

Avaya. Too little or no help? Expensive?
For FAST switch support at bargain rates, give bsh a call.

These are true DID trunks and the only option I have is NTT. The two stations are setup as CallrID but it is still not passing through.

Am I able to pass DTMF from the trunk all the way through to the stations by chance once they are connected?

Thanks!

Analog Trunk Incoming Call ID? y

This is RTU enabled with Avaya license that will give you more options.
You still must have your DID provider sending analog callerID.
Has nothing to do with rotory or DTMF which is only for call processing.

I do have that RTU set to Y.

Now that you mention that, it would be for call processing.

Here is the setup:
Example:
Call to DID 202-555-1344 --> Hits Hunt Group --> Connects to one of two analog extensions --> Connects to a fax server looking for the 4 digits the DID is passing.

so when I do a trace on the tac of the trunk group, I see the digits 1344 coming in. I want to pass these digits to the fax server ONCE it is connected to the call.

Is this possible?

Will the converse on step in a vector work in this situation?
