I am a network sys admin that got asked to help out with the phone system it is a 2000 IPS. The company has a number of DID's that is setup to go to a extension, they want to change some of the extensions these DID's go to using MATworx32.

For Example Right now did 555-5555 goes to extension 100, they want to change that to extension 110.

I am brand new to this and have no idea please help!

Thanks!!!

In MATworx, look in the digit conversion plugin. You should be able to redirect your DIDs from there. Look for the last 3 digits of the DID you want to convert.

I dont see that plugin I am using version 8.0.1 if that helps. Thanks for the reply

Not sure where it is in ver8.

Go into MOC mode:
F9
7600 F6
DID digits F6
-you will get a conversion block number

F9
7601 F6
enter the conversion block number F6
enter the station number you want the DID to go to F2

Do the same in CM7602

Check 7603, and 7604 as well.

When you say
DID digits F6

is that the DID number?

Sorry I am a complete newbie when it comes to this :(

Thanks so much for the help!

Yes, the DID number. If you are using 3 digit extensions, you are probably only receiving the last 3 digits of the DID. You could be getting 4 digits also. And by F6, i mean the F6 button, of course and I don't know why I said F6. It's F8..derrrr.

Thanks so much!

Ok I was able to get some of these done, but I noticed that some of these DID goes to a faxserver and when you look at it using the 7600 it just shows NONE. Any ideas?

The fax server extensions most likely match the actual DID number so no conversion is necessary. Try dialing the 4 or 3 digit DID internally and see if it calls the fax server to prove this.
