Did setting new share blocke remote access to exchange server?

I recently installed software on my exchange server partition. When doing the install I changed the E$ share name to another name. Since then (I think it since then) I have not been able to link to my exchange server via my ISP from home.

Could my changing the share name have caused me not to be able to reach the exchange server remotely (that is - over the internet)?

My web server is on the same network and IP address range and I can reach it with no problem.

I can also ping my exchange server using it's IP address AND the exchange server's name (url).

Help please!
