This customer also wants to upgrade the Partner to allow for DID service via a PRI. I see that a T1 card is required. Are there any licenses and are there any known problems or issues with Partner and PRI DID service?

Thanks

First off, it won't accept a PRI, only an E&M T1 with channels 9 through 24 available to be used by the ACS.

2nd, since you can only program the T1 module through the Partner ACS PC Remote Administration software, given the unreliable nature of the modem on the RAC card, I wouldn't try it on anything other than an R7 or R8, where you have the Admin serial port to connect to.

No licenses needed, customer needs to find a telco that can support it. Only went with it once, not at our request, but at the customer's and their telco. The customer HATED it, and went back to multiple loop start lines as soon as they could get out of the contract.

Like Tommy said it's a pain...you can do it from the modem port but you better be on site and use a station port to dial it...it's a pretty slow process...We have a couple of custs that are using it and it's working ok for them..but like Tom said..finding a vendor that will provide Standard T 1 is not easy these day's..and probably not too cost effective.

Good Luck with this one...

Thanks for the imput. Based on your replies I will recommend that the customer replace the system with one that can support a PRI.
