Hi there, I am new to this sight but have heard all good about it. Here it goes, Qwest Dex mis published our main number in the white pages. We bought the number and added it to our did range. I am trying to built a phantom 500 and route to our main greeting in the mm system. any suggestions?

Is this coming in on your DID's and if so what number did the phone company assign it to?

It all depends on your answer to this and one or two more questions after I get the answer to this one.

Easy to build a "dummy acd que"
LD 23
REQ: new
Type: ACD
ACDDN: <-- enter the new DID number
NCFW: <-- enter the main number for voice mail

now in voice mail under the Voice Services DN menu, add a entry and give it the same treatment as your main number.

I don't know how to program it, but couldn't you use your IDC table (incoming digit conversion) to change the 'new' DID to point to the 'main greeting' already in use?

I'm not sure if I'm real clear on this, but if you have the DN in your LDN and program it in the MerMail as a DN Services entry, I would think that would work.

Mike

Yes - few more steps involved

if no idc is used now

LD 15
REQ: Chg
Type: FCR
NFCR: yes
MAXT; 1
IDCA: yes
DCMX: 1 or 2 or more <-- number of IDC tables

LD 49
REQ: new
Type: IDC
DCNO: 1
IDGT: <-- enter the new DID number
xxxx: <-- enter the number you converted to

LD 16
Req: CHG
Type: RDB
Route: <-- enter the DID route number
IDC: yes
DCNO: 1 <-- or what was defined in ld 49
NDNO: 1 <-- or what was defined in ld 49

Print your route first - you may have a IDC table already in use. if so just change the table in ld 49 and add the new number just as listed above

Hi ACE, The number is 1561. Our DID range is 1000-9999. Qwest anned this number to our range. It is a different NPA/NXX. Thus I now have 1000-9999 and --- --- 1561. I can built an ext 1561 and call it from outside and it will ring in so Qwest is done.

So if you dial your DID range NPA-NXX-1561 or The NPA-NXX-xxxx of the number in the phone book, they both ring on the same phone that you built correct?

Then you can build an ACD Queue just use the defaults except for the following.

REQ NEW
TYPE ACD
ACDN 1561
MAXP 1
NCFW xxxx Main greeting DN

Thanks Ace, Yea that is what I had tried first, I did the NCFW to 4000 (Main Number) and mm comes back and tells me that there is no mailbox for 1561. It is like the wrong didgets are carrying to the mm. I know the easy fix is to just build a tn and hard cfw it but that will burn a port.

You need to add 1561 to the voice service dn and give it the same treatment as 4000.

From Mermail main menu go to menue 3 then 4 then 1. or if you have an older rls 3, then 3, then 1

Thanks REUSSER, I read what you said before it just did not sink in. That worked perfect :) Thanks to all of you. I am glad to be part of this community.
