Hello everyone;
Well I have a T1 with a pri card # NT5D12AB Dual with a mother board attached for DCH,in a Nortel Meridian 1 61C, trying to get a number (like 824-345-6592 to ring at the octel 2100 for attendant to answer all incoming calls, went into ld 49 and tried to get 6592 to ring 2100, but it keeps going to the operators console, by passing the Octel attendant, please help, what is the correct way to set this up, what loads do I need to set up and in what order, this is the first time I had to deal with a T1, PRI.
Thank You
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to LD 21 prt CDB check to see if IDC is allowed if so go to LD 16 prt your RDB for that route and check if IDC is set to yes and DCNO is the one you configured in LD 49.

if that route is a tie or did, your on the money.. if it's cot then look for auto yes.. then each trunk has a atdn.. if it's a did then usually the office will send the 4 digits that makes idc work

Hello 56Belair & johnpoole;
I wanted to thank you for your help, and 56 belair the idc was no, so I changed it to yes and it worked. OK 56BelAir & johnpoole, now when I call out to a local number(555-4545)it will not go out, I have to put in the area code in order for it to go through to party I'm calling, is there something I need to program in order to not use the area code on local calls, and just dial the seven digits, what ld and what do I need to change to make it work correctly.
I'm guessing, that if I program another DID number to go to a fax machine, that I will have to change the DNCO to 1 and the next one to 2 and on down the list, till I get all of them programmed, is this correct, let me know.
Your right johnpoole, the CO is sending me four digits, which is the address to our number on the CO PBX.
Thank You

1) LD 90 and add 555 as an NXX (you can prt one of your existing NXX's and see what RLI your using)

2) You can keep adding the new DID #'s to DCNO 0

here's the code for that, it's like most of the switch, simple after the 1st time

Code:
REQ  prt
CUST 0
FEAT net
TRAN ac1
TYPE nxx
NXX  749

NXX  749
RLI  0
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

REQ  new
CUST 0
FEAT net
TRAN ac1
TYPE nxx
NXX  555
RLI  0

in ld 90 i printed 749 because it is a local number and i want 555 to go out the same route, same ncos requirements, etc.. so now i can dial 555.. (now i've got to take 555 out, that was an 8000 dollar a month bill we didn't need)

7000 plus stations, everything cost to much

johnpoole & everyone, johnpoole, Thank You for the information the print part worked great, but the new part, would not let me do anything, it stated that it was already in the system, with that, let me know how to change access code to access the out going lines on the PRI/T1, they programmed 9 to access the out going trunks, so we put in another code to access the PRI/T1, DID card, so now we have disconnected the B1, outgoing Trunks, what ld can I use to put the 9 in the program so it will be aimed at the PRI/T1/DID lines, so we can dial 9 to call out. I tried to keep adding new DID #'s to DCNO 0, like Hawks suggested, but it would not work, it stated that 0 had already been used and programed, did I make a mistake in programimg, johnpoole thank you for the detailed response it was what I was looking for to try and fix my problem. So far I have to still dial the area code when I call out. Maybe it will change when I can get the 9 aimed at the PRI/T1/DID lines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Hi Everyone;
acewarlock, I would love to go to school, but they are telling me that they don't have the set aside for this, at this time, so I have to depend on this forum for help, till I can go to school, the company I worked for went out of business and they had the money set aside for my training, but would not let me go, now the people that took over, have only been here a couple years and are trying to bring this place back to life, so I'm wating for them to release some money for me to go school in Texas. I ask them once a week, where is the money, so if I ask enough, maybe they send me to shut me up.
I found the ACOD for the old b1 trunks, we used to call off grounds, I'm still need to know how they are accessed by dialing 9, still having to put in the area code to call local, now the fax machine are not dialing out on the PRI.
What else can go wrong today.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
