BCM 400 3.6. I had an employee who had an extension with vm and a DID number (port) assigned to his DN number. He no longer works in the office but only remotely and his desk extension has been reassigned to a new employee with there own DID port. Is there a way to send a DID line right to his voice mail port?
Thanks

There is two ways of setting this up.

One is to set up a CCR table as a transfer to mailbox and then set the auto attendant for that target line.

The other is to set the express messaging at the bottom of the mailbox in the call pilot to the target line of the DDI.

Then set the target line to have the prime DN as the voicemail and set the parameter if busy (go to prime)

Thanks Marshall! I will give that a try when I have a chance this afternoon.

Marshall, I was able to make it work using the CCR tree but I am limited by the number of trees to 8. I would like to make it work using the express messaging and the target line. I tried that setup but only get a busy signal when I dial the DID line number. I am attaching a link to a screen shot of the setup of the target line. I think I have is set as you suggested.

I put the target line 320 in the express messaging field at the bottom of the mail box configuration screen.

The vm ports are 434 to 440

I kind of figured this out as I typed the last line. I changed the the prime dn port to the last vm port 440 now it rings and rings. The way it is setup I would only think this would go to the vm only if it were busy. Since there is no phone on this it would only be busy when picking up messages. How do I set it to forward on no answer after one or two rings? Thanks

Hi Mr Brent

The express messaging is a seperate target line just for faxing. The target line you are assigning can not appear in any other DN programming or it will not work.

Step 1

Go to a handset and dial feature 985

Step 2

Create target line and set the parameter if busy to prime to the DN number you got from the feature 985.

Step 3

Set express messaging number to your target line.

What happens is because the target line has no extension assigned to it the system will always follow the prime DN. In this case the voicemail DN.The system then checks the express messaging tag and sends the call to that mailbox.

Hope this helps

Marshall

The link to the pic did not work for me.

Marshall, I think I fixed the picture link. I had the gallery marked private so only I could see it. Dah! I got it to work thanks to you! after getting the vm dn number correct. I put the target line in the express messaging box in the vm box but was a little confused by your first line about it being for faxing only since it does work now.
Thanks again.
