Hi,

We have one of these free DID numbers from SIPGATE that connects to the 3300 over a SIP Trunk.

When we set the Trunk Service to absorb and insert digits, the call does not ring at the desired destination.

The only way we have managed to make this Trunk to ring is by setting a fixed answering point as a non-dial in trunk (day, night1, night2).

It looks like the trunk does not like DID, is this possible? Maybe this free service does not allow you to dial in.

Here is the CCS traces when programmed as to absorb 10 digits and insert 8080:

Note: 415 7841253 is our free number from Sipgate, 786 2457815 is the number from where I'm doing test call.

18:05:40 RIL DPN PEER Sipgate 12 26 ISRM_I
;10;*3#*19*Z#*58*Ca*1*Z#*100*4157841253#
18:05:40 RIL DPN PEER Sipgate 12 26 SSRM_C
*58*CW*@@@@@@@@@AlTq@#*50*7862457815#
18:05:40 ROL DPN PEER Sipgate 12 2 CRM/CIM ;0;

Here is CCS Trace when programming the trunk as a non-dial in:

18:09:39 RIL DPN PEER Sipgate 13 26 ISRM_I
;10;*3#*19*Z#*58*Ca*1*Z#*100*4157841253#
18:09:39 RIL DPN PEER Sipgate 13 26 SSRM_C
*58*CW*@@@@@@@@@AlgZP#*50*7862457815#
18:09:39 ROL DPN PEER Sipgate 13 22 NAM
*1#*50*8080#*166*6#*100*R.DANIEL#
18:09:49 ROL DPN PEER Sipgate 13 1 CCM
18:10:19 ROL DPN PEER Sipgate 13 2 CRM/CIM ;30;

Any comments on this?

I have already emailed Sipgate with no luck, they don't seem to understand what a DID trunk is.

Regards,

Daniel

Also, when we set to trunk service as a non dial in trunk (with a fixed answering point), the phone displays both the the calling and called number, i.e. 7862457815 and 4157841253... I think this people have this all messed up.

Daniel

have you added the number to 'sip peer profile assignment'?
(otherwise the Mitel tends to refuse the call with a 404 not found error)

sip all set level 3
sip all set storage c
sip all trace on

test call

then
sip all trace off

all from maintenance commands, may provide some useful info (showing the actual SIP messages)

Neil,

No I hadn't added the number to the sip peer profile assignment form. However, I first took SIP traces as it was so I could then compare traces.

First Trace in the document attached.

Then, I took another trace by only changing Trunk Assignment form to absord 10 digits and insert 8080. I got the 404 not found.

Last, The third trace I took was with the trunk service assignment form to absorb 10 digits and insert 8080, Plus, adding the number 4157841253 to the sip peer profile assignment form. I still get 404 not found.

I attach the traces in case you may identify something else, I am not an expert with SIP at all.

Thanks for your help, Regards,

Daniel

Hi Dan,

I haven't looked at the traces just yet, but I think the number you put in:
SIP Peer Profile Assignment is the full number, before any digits are absorbed

I'll let you know if I can come up with anything

Neil

Yep! That's what I thought... I entered the complete number that I expect the Service Provider/Telco will send in:

Incoming DID Range: 4157841253
SIP Peer Profile Label: Sipgate (This is how I called the Sip Peer Profile)
Comment: Sipgate

Neil, thank's for replying on a weekend, Regards,

Daniel
