I've got CUCM 9.1 and Unity 10. I'm in need of some reassurance that I'm correct...

We’ve got 5 Earthlink voice PRI’s coming into our two main locations: 3 downtown and 2 at our East Side location. These 5 PRI’s handle voice for all of our Madison and Madison suburbs (Sherman, Cottage Grove, Fitchburg, etc…).

We are disconnecting 2 of the PRI’s (1 at each location) as they are under-utilized. As a precursor, we are migrating the DID’s from those 2 PRI’s to the remaining three next Monday afternoon. To ensure that the migration has truly been successful, I intend to shut down the T1 controller on each gateway for those 2 PRI’s.

Here’s my question: Can you think of any changes I’d need to make to Call Manager to accommodate this change? Personally, I can’t think of anything. Outside of Earthlink moving the DID’s to the remaining PRI’s, I can’t see what else changes. The gateway configurations for all 5 PRI’s are exactly the same, the translation patterns aren’t changing and no new numbers are being introduced. In my mind, the calls should continue to route as always.

Please let me know what you think.

Are they just for inbound calling or do they use outbound calling as well?

All 5 are two-way PRI's. I've already removed the soon-to-be disconnected circuits from the Route Group.

Should be good for testing purposes. I would still remove them out of CM then if they are MGCP.
