I have a DELL Latitude D530 laptop that needs a new hard drive...so I called DELL gave them the laptop's service tag and they sent me a replacement hard drive that they assured is compatible. Anyway the Hard drive they sent me was a Seagate Momentus 5400 FDE.2 Hard drive. This drive's connector looked very different then the connector from the drive that I was replacing...at first I thought that the new drive had an additional connector on top of the main connector but I found that I could not remove the additional connector meaning that it wasn't really an addtional connector....am i correct to assume that the drive they sent me is NOT compatible with my DELL Laptop? I am attaching the images of both hard drives..the drive on the left is the one they sent me and the one on the right is the original drive that i wanted to replace...what do u think? Ia m puzzled!

I agree with Ben. It certainly looks to me like there is an additional connector on the drive on the left.

Easy mistake..happened to me the first time I saw one of these. Just need carefully levering off and swapping over.
Whatch the orientation (which way it is fitted)

Yeah - it's correct. It's like a little adapter from the drives sata/power connectors to adapt to the laptop's style of connectors. It pushes on and off. Just try to pull it off and put it on gently. Pull/push evenly on both sides so you don't do any damage.
