I have a PRI Install coming up where the DID being passed to the Magix (R3) dont match the extension number. I remember once we did this about 100 years ago for a client and the senoir tech on the cut told me it was complicated... i am starting to doubt that ... can anyone tell me the tables that need to be modified? Thanks

Tedious, yet. Complicated - you will start having difficulties if you have more than 15 patterns - plus everytime you make a change you have to modify the tables - 100% easier to just change the extensions to match the last 3 or 4 digits of the DID numbers.

And if there are more than 15 inbound DID's? then what?

the issue is the customer has business cards with the ext number on it and the DID is doesnt match... there arent enough available station ports to create forwarded exts. there are about 20 DIDs in question.

Does any one know if there is a forum here that i can hire some one either to walk us thru this or connect remotely? We know the magix pretty well just havent done this before.

What are the DID digits being sent and what are the extensions. The dial plan routing tables work if there is at least some correlation between the two.

Example, we have voice numbers 85xx and fax numbers 95xx. Our voice extensions are 2xx and fax are 5xx.

A NtwkServ: Any service Any service
A Expected Digits: 4 4
A Pattern to Match: 85 95
A Digits to Delete: 2 2
A Digits to Add: 2 5

Hope this helps.

You can also read the Magix Feature Reference Guide document. It has all the features for the Magix!! If you don't have it, it's downloadable for free from support.avaya.com.

The solution to using DID numbers is planning!! If you renumber the stations to match the DID, then you only need the DID number on the business cards, and to put them there they would be reprinting them anyway!
