DID and MOH issue on IP Office

Sorry about lumping three issues into one. I am having just a couple of things going on with our latest IP Office running R8.

If we put nothing in the ARS... and we build DID incoming routes, they system automatically send the extension number. So I added the string to the ARS table so all calls would send the main number. Teleco doesnt seem to like this because now the calls show up as unknown.. What I would really like to do is not send any call information at all, then the local teleco is not overriden and they pulse the main number... possible??

Also, when I did my IP Office R7 training last year, the instructor was kind enough to give us some sample MOH files to load up. The very first IP Office I did I used one of the sample files, of course renaming it to holdmusic.wav and uploaded it to the sd card using the file manager. Its there and plays the music just fine. Now on these last two most recent IP Offices I have done, it won't allow me to overwrite the existing holdmusic.wav file with a new one. It says its read only. What gives??

oh.... and can someone remind where the setting is to turn off the USER buttons that are assigned to a hunt group from flashing on a persons phone when the incoming call comes in..

thanks guys...

try taking the SD card out and put in your pc / laptop and change the file from read only to read write.

outbound cli:

you have a number of options on how to build your sc

you can use W to withhold cli
to specify the out going number you need to either send the full telephone number or just the DDI digits depending on the local exchange, try both & see what works

also specifying the CLI with si<full number> may be needed in some cases.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

HIDE_CALL_STATE is the only thing i can think of that wll hide the incomming indication on a button , you need to add it under the user source number, not supported on 16** or 96** phones

If the provider is overwriting the main bearer number with withheld then you really need them to stop doing that, it's a valid number and it's how we always do it without issue :)

Anything I try to build in the SC doesnt work.. not sure what the phone company is looking for... talking to them right now..

As far as the SC card..can I pull that will the system is running..

You need to do a shutdown command to the card using Manager or SSA. but you can then pull it out and the system will run for 2hrs no problem, you then simply do your thing and then re-insert it :)

Century link just informed me that they only override and put in the main number if they see nothing from us as far as CLI..

They monitored the circuit and said the first call they saw was simply sending the extension number...464, in our test case.

Then I put the following string in the ARS table

9N;
Nsi3032969696 (the customer 10 digit phone number)
Dial 3K1

Made another test call... still sending just the extension number. What am I missing.

Run a trace in monitor and post here, they may be talking bollocks :)

here is the trace.... I called out from x464

I got it.. When I first set this up..the tech support guys told me to put this short code in the ARS..

It appears it needs to be added to the actual short code list in order to work, not the ARS..

Now..my question is...do I need to remove the SC listing of 9N ?

Should be:

In system shortcodes

9N
Dial
N
ARS

In ARS

N;
Nsi3032969696 (the customer 10 digit phone number)
Dial 3K1
Trunk Gp :)
