DID and CID

Most of my work has been w/T1s. Does anyone know of a configuration with Norstar that allows Caller ID and DID on the same trunks? I know I can use E&M and have DIOD but will norstar process caller ID info on those COPPER trunks?

My gut says no.

You gut feeling is right.You can't have Caller ID on an analog DID trunk.

Not having set this up before from scratch but only serviced established situations...
In line programming for DID trunk cards, is there not a menu change to allow/deny ANI collected digits for callers on a line to be displayed as part of 'Call Display Services'?
I checked this in the book. Additionally, it seems to me that CLID is possible for E&M as well. In both instances the CO must be configured correctly.

If someone can shed more light here..??

You cant have CID on DID or E&M for that matter. But you can have have DNIS with ANI. ANI is simply just the number is provided not name and number. Hope this helps. Richard S. McCranie

Hadn't thought of that. So, in reality, i can get DID and CID on an E&M using ANI. Since I just need the number and not the name (for a CTI app) this would work.
