Hi everybody.
I'm developing a VB system that requires an Italian dictionary (in an electronic format, of course).
I mean: I just need a LIST of Italian words and not their meaning or translation. I just want to know if a certain word exsists in that language or not.

I know that something like that is done by the MSxxx_ita.LEX file installed with MSOffice, but I just don't know how to open and read it.

Can any of you tell me where I can find such a file or how I can manage te .LEX files?

Thank you in advance

David

You'll probably have to buy the proofing tools from Microsoft. There you'll fint the .DIC and .LEX needed for your project.
You can also try to force the CUSTOM.DIC in Word to make it Italian. You'll receive errors telling what file is missing. Then search the internet for that file.

Good luck
