When I type out a email in outlook (version XP) the dictionary keeps defaulting to U.S. i keep putting U.K. as the default but it changes back. how do i stop this and how do i make U.K. the default.

Its happening on 2000 and XP OS. In Start> Setting> Controlpanel> regionalandlangaugesettings> langages - its all set to U.K.

Mattincepta,

the regional settings do not configure your MS Office dictionarys.

Try the followng (This is for Outlook2002):
1. Open Outlook -> Tools -> Options.
2. In the "Options" choose the registercard spelling.
3. At the bottom of it set your prefered "International dictionaries" language.
Hope it helps.

Regards
Asok

Thanks for the reply asoktheintern, but i already had that set as U.K. and it was still coming up with U.S. on replies, but i have found out the answer to my own question:

start> programs> microsoft office tools> Microsoft Office XP Language Settings.

In there you can change the language for all office programs!
