I am trying to do make a dialup network connection from W2K Professional to Windows 98 workstation. I can connect to the modem, but can not log on to the network? The error I get is "Access denied to this computer". I used to be able to logon to this computer.

I have tried many combinations of network configurations, but nothing seems to help. I am able to logon to many other Windows 2000 systems.

Does the 98 machine have FIle and Print sharing enabled in network neighborhood and Client for MS Networks installed?

Check those first..
