I use Netzero and connect up at 26,400, I know, I live in the woods, but when I use dialpad the other person cuts in and out. I've taken my computer over to my sister's house and connected up at 53,000 (nice), but still the same problem. I bought my computer at a computer fair and I know they don't put the greatest parts in. Could it be a board?? bus?? Netzero??

ok... listen to yourself... you are using a modem, and connecting to Dialpad...

Modem connections to Dialpad have been compared to cell phones in the early eighties...

shout a little louder, and repeat yourself constantly...

to solve your problem, you would have to get a high speed connection... i have used Dialpad with dialup as well... it is choppy, and cuts in and out...

you will also notice, that it cuts out at the same time the banner ad is changing, thus your bandwidth on that 26400 connection is getting peaked by advertising...

the only thing i could recommend, aside from highspeed connection, is to make sure you are not using a WinModem... WinModems do not have their own processor, and thus use the systems processor, which will slow things down... but i still think it is because you are using a dialup connection... Shane
and now for the impressive abbreviations:
DOA, SOL, AWOL, PEBKAC, id10t, FUBAR
