I want to develop a switching programing for this board to bridge 2 calls. Can any one give me advice on using what software to develop this - cheap & easy one? I prefer VB but C++ also OK.
I used Visual Voice by Artisoft in the past, but they were bought out by Parity Software, who apparently has been bought out by Intel after they bought out Dialogic.
Just do a search for "CTI and Dialogic and SDK and VB" and I think that you will find what you are looking for.
I am trying to use Intel's CT ADE or SR5.11 to develop. I read thru the document and it seems that CT ADE is actually new version of last time Parity Software VOS. And to use it i may need to pay executing lisence by per port/line. But if i use SR 5.11 to develop, i don't have to pay any lisence fee for the software. I encounter one problem: I don't have live E1 line to test my application ...... Will Mediatel's "Intel Telephony Board Simulator" help me?
Anyway i decide i also need to test Envox. I have requested them to send me a trial version with CD.
I tried the demo version of Envox, but I do a lot of weird things when develop, so it was inadequate for my needs. If I was trying to do normal things like create an IVR, it looks as if it would work fine and be extremely easy to develop in.
I don't know about the Telephony Board Simulator. I used Line Simulators to develop against, but never a board simulator. In theory, it should produce the proper events, so it should work. I just hate working with stuff that "should" work.
Don't know off-hand. I have taken a look at the Bayonne server, but I was having trouble getting Dialogic's drivers working on RedHat. They just didn't seem to function properly. I really just looked at it in passing.
Dialogic got a few software suites for different levels of developer:
Voice API (low level API)
GlobalCall API
CTMedia
CT ADE
etc.
It seem that developing software using Voice API & GC API are free to run on dialogic cards. But if you use CTMedia - you have to pay for it - for the CTMedia SDK has only four port license. Use CT ADE (last time Parity Software VOS & CallSuite) - also need extra license.
Is what i think is correct? If so, can any body tell me around how much for a CTMedia server running on 120 ports? How abot CT ADE?
Fastest time to target, use VB 6.0 sp4 and an old copy of Visual Voice 3 or 4. No longer supported but the "route" command is just sweet! (Works fine with ver 5 dialogic drivers)
1. Where to these old version of Visual Voice 3 or 4?
2. Need to buy lisence per port?
3. Can suport 2E1 (60 port) switching program? [I get the suggestion form somwhere that to develop mision critical switching program it is better to use VC++ not VB. For for my case i need to use one D/300Sc-2E1 card enough.]
