Dialog boxes in Citrix XP on Windows 2000

We have a program which we pass certain criteria to automatically, which causes a dialog box to appear, however, under Citrix XP on Windows 2000 this box drops behind the window and gives the impression that the dialog has not appeared, and therefore gives the impression that the system has hung.
Does anyone know of a fix for this sort of thing, or can offer advice of a Citrix tweak to make the dialog appear on top with focus. Adrian Rutter

Tell us more what happens and when ? Your text is a bit vage. Maybe that's why there are no replies yet. What type of application. You say a dialog appears behind something else ? Be a bit more specific here. The problem is difficult enough to solve knowing all the details )

you need to tone it down a bit. I can understand quite clearly what adrianrutter is saying. if you dont have anything constructructive to add i suggest you dont add anything at all. nobody likes a know it all.

It wasn't meant to be disrespectfull. Sorry if my text was interpreted that way. But unfortunately not everyone is a English linguist. I just wanted to ask some short questions to get the problem more clearly. I don't like long texts with a lot of !sskissing. Just straight to the point !

OKAY, calm down everyone.
The following scenario is what happend under a thick / full client environment
We are using Business Objects with Blue8 (a GIS product)
We have a VB hook which monitors what is happening on the screen. All of the following happens after a single button is clicked within Business Objects
Business Objects exports its information to a csv file. Then Blue8 is fired up and the Import Wizard appears, the name of the file created is entered automatically and the import wizard moves on to the next step.
Under thin client
The file is created and Blue8 is fired up, but the Import wizard dialog takes 2 minutes to appear and sits hidden behind the application.

Reading this, it looks like your problem is hidden in the VB script. Is it possible for you to ask the programmer of the VB script to apply the SetFocus on the dialogs it handles. The programmer will know what I mean.
If you are not able to contact the programmer, I think you have a problem on your hand that is difficult to solve. My advise would then be to inform the users of the app how to handle in this situation.

All the VB script does is to tell Blue8 to open in Import mode, so it is within the Blue8 application itself. I have seen a document, which I have lost which mentioned dialog boxes dropping behind the application window under Citrix. So I know it is out there somewhere...!!! Adrian Rutter

Have you already contacted the manufacturer of Blue8 ?
