When dialing up, I'm seeing in 15 minutes that 2.2 mb of data is sent and 1.7 mb is received. I know that the keystrokes are the only thing that runs on my pc so how much on an average should be going back and forth? Thanks... I know this is a vague question but I'm trying to figure why my connection is slow.. I assume it the network traffic at work slowing things down.

What application are you running during that 15 minutes? Some applications do a lot of polling that can use bandwidth even when the user isn't typing.
