DIALING TAKES LONG TIME

hi friends,

I am connected tot eh central office (ATT) through a DTI tie trunk.
My problem is when i dial any number it takes me a long time to get connected.

Where should i tune to get this faster.

You could check that the FLEN length matches the actual digit length being sent. You could also check the NIT setting in LD 15.
 
I would check a few other things first.

If after dialing a number and you hit # - does call go right away. If yes change the EOD timer in the route to a lower number (I usually set to 4096)

If # makes little difference, check your trunks using the maint. set. You may have a bad trunk.

I tried with the # , its working fine. When i dial #, the calls go right away. But the EOD timer in the trunk route does not make much difference when i dial (CDP, or directly with the ACCESS CODES). Is there any other paramter that i need to change to get it immdedietly after i dial the numbers.

The FLEN prompt would be the next step. If you are using CDP to change a 4 digit number to a 10 or 11, or your area codes are programmed in SPN - it is waiting for the rest of you digits. Check programming for each number dialed that is having the problem.

Post your LD 87 CDP or ld 90 number if you need more help.
