We have remove 6 Polycom IP phones from one of our remote offices and installed 6 4620SW. There is a point-2-point circuit connecting the two offices.
They are getting calls with no problem.
The calls roll to voicemail with no problems.
They can call any extension on the network with no problems.
Here is a problem -
When they make a call something inserts digits 580 in front of the number they are dialing. I checked ARS and they are going out the same route as my phone does when I call the same number. I logged my phone in on one of there phones and something inserts 580. I talked to the network people here (they hate and do not understand VoIP, thinks it should be separate from network) and they said they made a couple changes (big secret as to what) and it should be working now.
It is still not working after a month of networking dinking around.
Avaya says PBX is fine (cost $250) and they could do a network analysis and fine what is causing this (cost $3800 per site, x2).
Can anyone guide me as to where to look either on the network in layman terms?
Thanx
