Dialing into a Router Remotely

Hello,

I need to dial into modem connected to the console port of Cisco Routers, usually 1800 series, to make configuration changes.

I currently do not have an analog phone line, but I was wondering if I could use either Magic Jack, or would activating the phone line via my cable provider and cable modem be enough?
