Greetings to All!

I am trying to the extensions on an IP Office to dial out through a PRI that resides in a Merlin Legend, I can call back and forth from one system to another. No Problem. I have a shortcode built in the IPO that says when 9N;-Dial-.- on the PRI trunk group that connects both of the systems. In System Status I can see the IPO sending all the digits on the PRI. The call ends up at the "Unassigned DID " extension. What can I do to correct this problem?

Thanks/Quaz

do you have anything set in the telephone number field? I am guessing you should probably set it up like so:

code: 9N
Feature: Dial
Telephone Number: 9N (if you dial 9 to get out on the Legend switch)
Line group:(your line group for the connection to the Legend switch)

I have never tried this before on a connection to a Legend switch but this works when i have set it up on a IPO-IPO connection. You may also try asking in the IPO forum. Also, What release of IPO are you running?

p.s. this would be a system short code. after re-reading your response it sounds like maybe the shortcode you had listed was done in the ARS for your trunk to the Legend. Do you have a system short code to access that ARS?

The shortcode from the IPO is getting to the Legend. I can see that in System Status App. I can see the numbers it is sending acrosss the PRI link to the Legend. The IPO is sending 9 plus the dialed number. I thought that the Legend would send the call out through ARS, but instead it sends the call to the default DID extension set under options on the Legend ( unassigned ). The problem is in the Legend. What do you think?

If it is going to the unassigned port, it probably isn't seeing the 9. Even though you see the 9 being sent, I would try adding a 9 to the equation. If it were trying to get out of the Legend, it wouldn't go to the unassigned port, it would drop the call if the Legend wasn't programmed to allow a off-site system to dial out on it.

If you know how to use monitor in the Legend you can trace the pri b channels and see if the IPO is truly sending the 9 or not.

It seems to me it might be a barrier code issue. I would remove all restrictions in remote access temporarily to test.

could have to do with the fact that you are trying to do a trunk to trunk connection. Check if that is enabled in the Legend.
But for the life of me I can't tell you where to look of the top of my head I would have to log into one.

The Barrier Codes, as jinx has stated, are what controls if a call can go out on the Legend coming from another switch (the IP Office in this case). I would check to make sure the barrier codes are unrestricted.
