I have a customer that wants certain phones to dial an internal extension if the phone is off hook for too long. Kind of a safety feature. They currently are doing this on a old Rolm switch and we are replacing with an IP500V2 running 8.0 (44) software and 95xx phones.

Anyone have a clue if this would work?

That is not a feature available or that can be emulated on the IP Office I'm afraid :)

Actually you could route all dialling from those extns throuh VM Pro using a ?D code and utilising the timeout from a menu etc, but that would hold the vm port open for the duration of dialling and would not allow dialling if VM was down :)
