I have a Norstar at location A connected to a channel bank fed from location B. 15 analog TN's are programmed on the OPT. 81C(location B) and at location A those line are wired in to the Norstar. They can dial a 4 digit extentionS at location B but can not tranfer to location B also voicemail lights do not work on the Norstar. They have 3 digit extentions on the Nortsar. Can any one lead me in the right direction as to what I would need to do to get voicemail lights to work on the Norstar and get transferring to also work.

To get 'transfer' to work, program a 'link' button on the norstar sets... that will send the 'flash' on the analog port of the 81c so they can do a transfer. (Works like a centrex, too). I'm not sure about the voicemail indication tho... is each of 15 'lines' from the 81c only programmed on one set (i.e. one line per one user)? If you have the CLASS card in the 81C, and are using CallerID cards on the Norstar, you might be able to do that. I think there is a thread on telco voicemail in here. try thread799-556406
