Hi:
Do anyone out there no how to allow 900 numbers to be dialed over a Nortel/Option 11 Switch?

Scherrie, if your switch was setup properly, you will have varying levels of security dependent on the NCOS setting for each phone. Mine is etup where NCOS of 0 is internal only, 4 is Internal+Local, 7 is Internal+Local+LongDistance, 9 is Internal+Local+LD+International.

Since this was done prior to my entering the wonderful world of Nortel, someone else will have to explain how to set these up and how to tell what restrictions each NCOS has.

Any pros out here, correct me if I'm wrong.... Monkeylizard

To disallow 900 Numbers you have to go into LD 90.
Try these links for more help:
or

These two posts have some information on Area codes.

Basically, You tell the pbx what numbers it can and can't dial by adding DENY codes.. Read in the NTP about LD 90.
If you do not want anyone to dial 900 #'s you can delete it from the PBX so no 900 numbers work.
If you need more help please let me know,
