Dialing +44 numbers from Outlook

Hi guys,

I have a customer using and IPOffice 500 with 4.1.19 etc on it.

He can dial from outlook contacts but if they have international prefixes in front they do not work. I remember this being a problem in the past for Blackberry users with outlook contacts but I am not sure if it ever got resolved?

Any clues guys?

you cannot send numbers in the format +44.... it would have to be 0044.....

The IP Office will not know what to do with the +.

If they are in the correct format, check they are not barred from dialling int numbers. Can they do it direct from the phone.

You can set up rules in Dialing Options in Phone and Modem Options in the control panel. So it should take off the +44 and add a 0 automatically - so this is all done within Windows

I've had trouble in the past with outlook contacts where the user has put the number all in the 1 field

i.e +4401234567890

Instead of
Coontry/region - UK
City/Area code - 01234
Local Number - 567890

Could you give a little more detail on how this is setup?

Hi Matt your right it is just the way you enter the numbers into the correct field.

If you use the check number field button it adds the correct country code to the number and dials the whole number out correctly so well done for that!

You can create shortcodes like SC = +44N, TN = 0N, Action = Dial and +N,00N,Dial
