diald problem 1

I've managed to use my internet connection with ifup ppp0 manually...but when i install diald...after some config study..i got ppp0 not active and my connect script didn't finish until my remote/local ip are set by my ISP's PPP server. Why is this happening when i can use ppp0 with no problem when connect manually?
