Please can Someone Help
I am trying to transfer some files to a friend via Dial up server in windows 98 version 1
i have shared out the folders we need and created an account for him to logon to via dial up networking.
he dials in to me useing this account i try going to run then accessing \\server_01_mbr\ntproject (which is the directory) and it says no network provider could accept the path he is running win98ver1 same as me

please help you can reply to mturner@turnerm3.fsnet.co.uk if you like

Type in the run window \\server_01_mbr to see if a window opens up with the folders listed. If it doesn't then you may have something wrong with protocols. his is assuming that server_01_mbr is the name of the computer.

My Computer Name is SERVER_01_MBR.
i tried just typeing \\server_01_mbr in the run box but then i thought that prohaps \\server_01_mbr\ntproject would be a bit better but still no luck.
do you think we need to be in the same workgroup, mine is MARCNETNTS and his is DEFALT (he not the most inteligent person when it comes to useing a computer).
my protocols are ok i have a network of 3 PC's
SERVER_01_MBR is the server running windows 98 (NT Server went bang) workstation1 is a workstation! running windows 95 then ross1 is my brothers computer running windows98, we can share files, printers and net access fine like this.
