Dial Up FTP

I need to connect to an ftp server that uses a phone number instead of an IP Adrress. How on earth do I do that?!

you can't just "ftp to a phone number" - you need to do 2 seperate things...

1. setup a dialup connection to the telephone number
2. ftp to the IP address of the server you're connecting to

Are you originating from a Windows system? If so, there used to be a dos executable name 'rasdial' that you can call from a batch file. That will perform the PPP dialing. Then after the PPP dial connection has been setup, you can initiate the FTP in batch. Good luck.
