Dial up for the internet

Hi I would like to ask how to connect the rs6000 to the internet. Because our application needs to send some logs via internet. I am new with AIX hope some one can help...Thanks in advance....

I think the answer will depend a lot on what kind of modem you are using. Once you get the modem(s) installed I believe it requires specific configuration depending on the type. We are using AT&T, I think. IBM Certified -- AIX 4.3 Obfuscation

We are using a US robotics...is there any online manual in how to configure it to dial up????

Thanks so much but one more question... I saw a dial_out example in the /etc/ppp and it said in the redbook that i can edit the said script and use it... How can i use it???
