I have had this problem ever since I installed XP. When I log in I can connect to the net perfectly using dial-up. Howver, if I disconnect for any reason, I cannot reconnect without rebooting - the connection fails on 'Verifying username and password'. I have noticed in the Networking tab on Task Manager that the Dial-up Network Adapter I have been using is in a status of Not Operational. Would this have anything to do with my problem, and if it is how can I clear it? If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks

You should disable LCP extentions and that should fix the problem. You open the properties for your connection ... go to the network tab... under the ppp click on the settings and take the check out of LCP extentions

This seems to ahve done the trick - nice one! :)
