Hello I do tech support for an internet service provider, and one of our customers is haveing problems.

She get's the invalid username password error but we are unable to get the dialer to open in such a way to check and change the information.

She has windows 98 and apperently connect automaticly checked, normaly this wouldn't be a problem because usually when you cancel the dialer in mid dial it goes back to the main dialer window with the user information. but her's every time she cancels the call it closes the window, I tried to make a new dialer. But even though most of the settings went back to default, ie the way they are with a new dialer, but when we opened the dialer it dialed automaticly. I am not sure what to do next. Can anyone help?

Thank you.

sure, if they are useing IE you can go to internet options> connection tab> highlight the connection in the "dail-up and virtual private network settings" box and click settings. this will display the user infor for the connection. or go to dail-up networking thought "my computer" and double click the connection.

hope this helps

Ivan

is the OS still intact and integral.. check for any possible anomalies such as virus, trojan or system corruption..

good luck..
