Hi,
My system has a Gigabyte MB, Zoltrix HSF 56K modem and all the other usual bits and pieces. I use W2K Pro.
I connect to internet through my ISP without problems. Generally, the connection speed is 45.2K. I don't have any problems in throughput (when it works).
When I'm connected, I usually open more than 1 IE window and sometimes I do some AV prog updates and so on.
My problem is that, approximately every 15 minutes, all the traffic ceases without any error message (except the timeouts on the screens that are open). I see that my computer is trying to kick the line but nothing comes
in. This lasts approximately 2-3 minutes, and suddenly everything turns back to normal. active screens are filled as expected, and a refresh on the timed-out screens work as expected.
Modem log does not give any indication (W2K modem log is very uninstructive)
I will welcome any suggestion, including advice some monitor programs which will enable me to see the last actions just before the freeze.
Can you help?
