I want to set up a wireless network within my cottage and share an internet connection. Unfortunately, there is no bradband available in the hinterland.
Is it possible to access the web over a wireless network where the internet connection is dial up?
Thanks

I would think that you could set up Internet Connection Sharing on a desktop computer with the dial-up and then connect to it using wireless to share the connection. It will be slow.

i have able to set up wireless connection using d-link wireless router and my desktop but it is intermitent.
work sometimes, sometimes get limited connectivity on laptop
has anyone any experience with this?
much appreciate help...
both computers use xpp.

Matanzas, you ought to really start your own thread as this is a completely different topic...

However, define "limited connectivity. Does connection drop because of poor signal strength? Does the laptop find other WiFi networks? Have you tried moving the router/PC/laptop to more favourable signal locations? Tried changing channels?

Bit more info might help us...
