Sorry guys,
We have a Nortel Option 61c, we have modems attached to some analog lines that seem to take awhile to disconnect. Basically we you drop the connection it can take up to 10 minutes for the line to become available again. Any idea's?

Look at the RDB LD 15 check the FEDC and NEDC
- NEDC aaa Near End Disconnect Control (aaa = ORG or ETH)
- FEDC aaa Far End Disconnect Control (aaa = (ORG), ETH, JNT, or FEC) Try setting to ETH.

If you have loop start trunks you need to test for BTID. Do this thiss with a COT or XFCOT trunk card that is "empty". Build a trunk on it as private line to your switch room phone. Call the number for PVR and answer the call. Hang up the set you made the call FROM. Count how many seconds it takes for the trunk card to release or break the call down. Try different BTID settings until you get the shorest amount of time. If under 11 seconds you are doing pretty good. Once that BTID is set any other trunk built to that card will use the same BTID. Hope that helps Also as Ace says there is no supervision on LOP trunks. In LD 16 for your route set FEDC and NEDC to ETH.
