Is there a way with 6.1 to give dial tone to the caller after they dial 9? I thought this was a new feature, but I can't find it anywhere.
Thanks

you MUST have the MR release to do this. Its under services, routing service, then 2nd dial tone.

My momma always told me if i wanted to listen to an *sshole, she'll fart.

Would this work for a BCM as well? I had no idea a 2nd dialtone was possible. That would be great to know for future installations.

quick question on this...the promt for 2nd dialtone is looking for a 4 digit code...what is the code\

ski season has started

I messed with it once- I dont remember it asking for a code Luv2ski, so no help there.

Guru- It is used on PRI. Before, when you dialed 9 (Or any PRI access code)- you would just have dead air and dial your phone number. Now, if you enable 2cd dial tone, when you enter the code you get a "dialtone," just like you would if you were using a pool of loops. It just lets the customer know they can go ahead and dial thier number with PRI.

All I had to do was to ask my telco provider to make sure that there was Dial tone on the PRI circuit. But I work where Qwest does most of the telco providing and for some reason they say that it can not be done, so I request my service from Advanced Telcom (a local telcom provider) and they have no problem.
