The carrier in my country just upgrade their cellphones numbers starting with the * and the # Ex *788205. I have a Meridian Option 11 and after take the acod the pbx doesn't reconigze the start (*) and the pound (#). Somebody has a idea how to solve this problem??

Thank

No, I won't believe that is true until you provide evidence :)

It could be that can work from wireless to wireless, but those tones have already been assigned as a leading digit for central office features.

Check again and confirm.

I have proves but is in spanish. All that you said is correct; Is wireless to wireless but the telephone company sell us an adapter to connect the wireless as analog phones but instead of connect analago phones we installed like C.O trunks. It was working fine but they add the * and the # and now the numbers are for example *784567.

OK, that is proof enough for me. I can see what you mean now... I am thinking about it - no answer yet. But wanted to reply that I understand. Hopefully others will find an answer sooner than I.

Well there's an OPAO package 104 (Outpulse Asterisk and Octothorpe) but I think it's not available in Noth America.
Maybe you have it though.
Seems like you can say OPR YES in the RDB and it will let you send * and # as tones.

in euro switches, ie non north-america, the * and # have been approved for switching, in the usa they are pause and end of dial.. with package 104 you can send those as part of a dial string.. you can also send * after the acod here, just not after ac1 or 2
