I recently got on an unlimited LD calling plan for my last 10 lines of our 28 line pool. How do I program our Magix 3.0 system to pick the last 10 lines in the pool to dial out with first? Thanks for any help on this.
Take the 10 lines out of their current pool, and put them into a new pool. Go to the ARS tables for long distance dialing (do a print, as the tables vary with the release of Legend, and you may also have custom routing tables), and put the new pool in as the first route, the current pool in as the second route.
Add the new pool as the second route to your local tables. Might also want to make another ARS table to handle 1-800, 1-888, etc. and also use the current pool before the new pool.
We have a Magix 3.0 system, pool 70 is on both ARS settings: Toll Table is 25 and FRL is 3 with call type as both, Local table is 26 and FRL is 2 with call type as both. I just need to change the new pool (891) with the ten lines to the toll table 25, any other settings that need to be changed?
If all 10 lines are being dialed out on, will the system automatically use the other pool to dial long distance out on?
The system will use the pools in the order that they are in the ARS tables. So change table 25, the default LD table to use pool 890 as the first choice, and 70 as the 2nd choice. It won't go to 70 unless 890 is busy. You could also play around by raising the FRL of 70 in pool 25 to 4, and giving a FRL of 4 to the "big bosses". They would be able to access pool 70 for LD if 890 is busy, but us "regular" people would get wave-off if 890 was unavailable.
Conversly, add 890 as the 2nd choice for the default local table, so if 70 is busy, you can fall back to 890.
Create a brand new table for the toll free numbers, again using 70 and then 890. No sense sending toll free calls over the cheap LD lines, unless the other lines are all booked up.
