Hello to all.

I have a IP500v2 running 9.0 with 12 POTS lines and 40 extensions and VM Pro.

Everything has been working great for the past year.

Normal dial out procedure is to dial 9 + ten digits (US)

Today an office that has five extensions can't dial out like that anymore. If they dial 9 + ten digits they get a recording from the phone company saying they need to dial ten digits.

However, they CAN dial out using seven digits.

The rest of the 35 extensions can dial out 9 + ten digits AND they can dial out just using seven digits as well.

These five that can't dial out properly are in a incoming hunt group.

All of the 12 POTS lines are in Group 0

NO programming changes have been made that I am aware of.

Any suggestions??

THANKS!

Trace a call that works and a call that doesn't, both to the same number and look at the difference in the trace :)

they may have a shortcode in the users that adds automatically the area code

Either Monitor or System Status should show you the score here. If trunks are analog, then there just isn't much to diagnosing - put a test set on the line to super-confirm the digits going out.

I think West is spot on here, look at their user/short code and see if their is an entry
