Hello All,
What are most of you guys using to dial into your remote locations?? I just upgraded to XP from WIN98, and used smartcomm (doesn't work with XP). I have procomm, but I get a lot of errors. I know I have the exact settings from my old machine. What else is available out there??

Thanks,
JBH

l use teraterm/terraterm and l have had no probs yet

procomm/ hyperterminal ... or any terminal emulation software is good to connect to a modem. - to put it simply all that the software does is makes your pc work like a terminal (example vt220, tty )connected to a M1 port

as long as the baud, parity, stop ... match and hte line is good it must work

if everything has been checked try connecting at a lower speed - both the settings in the software and the M1 port needs to be changed
