I'm having a problem with one of my Legends. The system is an existing system that was purchased with building. I'm trying to get in remotely, but I'm not sure what the password is. Is there a way to initialize the password even if you don't know the existing password. Please help. Thanks.

You must be on site, and connect directly from your PC's serial port to the admin port. Then you can do a print of the system set up and find the exsisting password.

What cables do I need in order to connect through the admin port. Do I need the 355AF adapter and a regular patch cord? Thanks for the information.

You need some version of SPM software, regular patch cord, and a 355A or 355AF adapter, the only difference is the A is a male and the AF is a female. Also depending upon which adapter you get, you will probably need a 25 to 9 pin adapter, as the 355 adapters are 25 pin.
