Dialing from Outlook has nothing to do with PhoneManager. What you want is TAPI. On the user CD, do the install and in the process it asks what components you want. TAPI is one of them. Install it. Then in Outlook, right click on a contact and select "Call Contact". There should be a dialing options box. In this box, you should see a device setting. Set it to the IPO extension. You will have to configure the Extension and IP of the IPO.
If the IPO phone xxx does not appear, make sure you have the correct "username", password and ipo ip address in the avaya tapi config (in control panel, telephony or phone and modem options
There is also a new version of the TAPI driver on the User 3.0.12 CD. On the CD is a directory called Patch and within a file called tspi2w.tsp (ver 1.0.0.25)
To install the new version you need to do the following
1) Stop the Telephony service. If you have a problem stopping this
service it may be because the Remote Access Connection Manager Service
is running. If you have this problem you will need to disable that
service and then reboot your PC before you are able to stop the
Telephony service.
2) Copy the tspi2w.tsp file into the Windows\System32 directory.
