I have a script that tells the last command to Dial DATA (HOST).

The (HOST) use to connect via a modem and it worked everytime. Now I have (HOST) set up as a direct connect and my script that says DIAL DATA (HOST) will no longer work.

Any Ideas?

My script is just a popup dialog with all the connections in the directory, when you select a particular host name it stores the name in a string and the last line states DIAL DATA stringname. Each host has is tied to a script called LOGIN that uses $USERID and $PASSWORD to log me into our Nortel PBX. Works great on dialing the phone number, but not as a direct connect.

It's not documented well (or at least I couldn't find it when I went searching through the help file), but you cannot "dial" a direct connection. If you try the same steps manually, you will see an error message displayed on Procomm's status line.

I've done this by telling the script that it has to enter modem command mode and then use adtd command. But then again your only way to check that communication is OK is by feedback on the promts ie. waitfor "connect 9600".
