I have a Octel 300/VMX. The trunk ports are set up so that the 4 different companies have their own separate attendant greetings. It seems like the dial by name is a system wide feature. Can it be set up so that when a person calls one company, the dbn feature or directory they access is seperate from the other 3?

The dial by name feature works on the user table, and as there is only one table the shortanswer is no. When we configured systems with DBN we used to name mailboxes that needed to be excluded ZZZAdmin mailbox or ZZZMenu opt one etc. If there is no name associated with the mailbox it also won't call (obviously!), so you could exclude two of the companies in this way, but I guess that is not really an option.
