Hello. I have an Option 11 switch with a Call Pilot server and we are running OTM.

My problem is this:

I have a user. Let's say his last name is Williams and his ext is 385.

When using the dial-by-name feature, I dial 9(W)-4(i) and the dial by name correctly reads off his name and then says calling....but it calls the wrong extension entirely. It calls like 231 instead of 385!

I double checked the person's info in CPND and all is correct.

This is the first time I've had to delve into the world of Dial by name. Obviously there is more to it or something entierly differnt then CPDN. HELP!!

Thanks in advance!

Confirm the name is programmed correctly in Meridian Mail to the right mailbox.

Dial by name - default is Last name first, First name last.

Some people like to configure their system with the first name in the last name field and vice versa...I'll would check there first.

McGruff: You nailed it. It was in the call pilot server. For some reason she was set to another extension.

Thanks very much
