Client has 2 locations. Location A and B are on same network (connected by fiber) but each location has an IP Office 500V2. Extensions at location A are 2xx and at B are 3xx. Location A has phone lines and auto attendant from that system answers all calls. Location B has no phone lines, uses lines from location A. Auto attendant gives option of dial by name directory but only extensions on Location A system work. Both systems use embedded voicemail. Is there a way that I can make system A see the extensions from system B for use with the dial by name directory? There is no small community network as they are on the same network. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Both systems use embedded voicemail." !!!

Well that answers your problem for yourself. Having a star.

They need to be using Voicemail Pro and on an SCN for features like that to work for all users and groups on all systems. Yes, you can go some way towards a pseudo SCN with IP lines and shortcodes but it will always have missing and partially working features.

"There is no small community network as they are on the same network." - !? - Even when on the same data network, the systems need an SCN if you want them to automatically share information.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

How do you dial between systems? Do you have Network licenses or do you do it through shortcodes?

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

@ budbyrd, You can just dial the extension. A person at location A (200's extensions) say 201, reception, can call a person at Location B (300's extensions) by simply dialing the extension, 385 - Robert as and example.
Location B can call users at location A in the same manor, just dial the extension. The users on system at location B do not show up on the program for location A under the user tab. They are connected with SCN lines using the opposite system IP address but there are limitations as to auto attendant transfers and dial by name directory. I have not run into this before as all of my clients are smaller businesses that work just fine with embedded VM. I am going to install a new system with VM Pro. Looking forward to trying it out.

"They are connected with SCN lines"

@ sizbut, yes that is correct, there is no SCN Licence and they are on the same network. The physical location of the two systems is 8 miles apart in different buildings but they are connected with a fiber. I apologize if I mislead. I am sending the client a quote to upgrade to VM Pro. Thanks for your help.
