we have had a couple of customers asking for the ability to Dial 0 (zero) to get to an operator.

Create a Misc. Appplication.

Give it a Description, something like Operator.

Set the Feature code to be 0 (that is a zero)

Set the feature status to Enabled.

Set the Destination to be the extension of the person that you want as the Operator.
If you have more than one person acting as the operator, use a Ring Group or a Queue.

Simple, clean and easy and of course 'No License Required' other than for the extensions used.

Setting up a Dial Zero group is easy.

1-Select PBX
2-Add a new Ring Group
3-Choose 0 for the Ring Group Number
4-Under "CID Name Prefix" type "Dial Zero" or "Operator" so that this reads on the display to users dialing the extension
5-at the bottom of the page choose the Destination of the extension you want to be the operator group
6-You can choose one or many extensions or set a Queue group, say if you have an operator switchboard with more than one position in a hospital.
