Greetings,
This may be completely the wrong forum to post in, so please advise of a better one, but I figured this is a programming question, so here goes.
Is it possible to use Java to close the Google Desktop? After googling on this subject, it appears that Google Desktop is in the Windows Registry under the HKLM (system wide change) as oppsed to HKLU (under a user setting). I also noticed Google Desktop to be a service that ended, it seems to close the program- though I do not know how completely.
The reason I ask is that I work on a shared computer using Ultra Thin Clients. I detest the "google virus", however, other users of the computer use it. If possible I want to build an app to be able to start it or stop it based on the user.
Any help is appreciated.
